Victory Salute — Limited Edition Running Longsleeve | Sportswear & Apparel Design

Every year on February 2nd, athletes and citizens gather in Volgograd for a commemorative running event honoring the turning point of the Battle of Stalingrad.

For the 2023 edition, we created a limited edition running longsleeve — a unique piece of sportswear design that merges athletic culture with fine art. This apparel design was developed in collaboration with the Mashkov Museum of Fine Arts, which provided a historical linocut from its collection: "Victory Salute" by A.M. Nikolaev (1972).

Front: iconic linocut artwork "Victory Salute".

Back: inscription — "In my heart, the salute of victory roars — it keeps the memory of the Stalingrad heroes alive."

The project demonstrates how sport, history, and culture can unite in meaningful design. More than just merch design, this longsleeve stands as a wearable tribute, blending performance apparel with cultural memory.

This work represents the power of sportswear design to go beyond functionality — turning a simple garment into a piece of history, limited edition merch, and a symbol of shared heritage.
